Can A Pet Allergy Cause Eczema?

February 1, 2010 by admin

I’ve been reading up on it a bit, because I have really annoying, itchy eczema, and everything says it can be caused by allergies to food, medicine, fabrics, or soaps. No mention of animals at all…
I assumed my eczema was due to my ferrets. Could I be wrong??
Thanks!!

Yes, you can and probably are wrong. Your eczema may be due to something even as little as your laundry detergent, but not pets. However, pets can cause itchy red bumps on your arms (a.k.a. hives).Try changing other stuff, then, if all else fails, go to your doctor, and ask, but even they may not be right. Doctors see new stuff all the time, and I wounldn’t take it out of the running just yet.

I am not wanting to give up my pets, even if they do cause my eczema. I do not have to. Try something called Regen. It is a cosmetic product that is allergy free and all natural. It stopped all my itching (which turned out to be poison ivy once) and eczema problems. I may still have my allergies, but you would never know from my skin.
