What Is A Good Pet For Someone With Allergies?

What would be a good pet that I wouldn’t be allergic to? I’m allergic to cats, dogs & rodents. I’m also severely allergic to dust mites & mold so that rules out birds.
Any ideas?

I’m very allergic to Dogs & haven’t been able to find any hypoallergenic Dogs. My allergist says there are no 100% hypoallergenic Dogs, but that some breed are more tolerable then others. I’ve heard that poodles are on the hypoallergenic list, but they still have dander so they can still cause a reaction in some people. You could try a toy poodle but remember that puppies don’t have as much dander as when they are grown dogs, so you might have no problems with the puppy till it’s grown.
Also depending on how bad your allergies are you might want to consider not getting any type of animal that your allergic too. (it could mach your allergies worse)
You might not be allergic to reptiles, but I’m not sure if they have mold or dust mites. (I’ve never owned one) Maybe you should asked this question in the pets section

hey, i will have to contact my aunt about specifics, but there are dogs that are hypoallergenic. i will try to call her tomorrow if you’d like. but she is severely allergic to dogs, cats and a lot of other animals. but she now has a great dog that she can keep inside or outside. whichever she prefers. the dog even sleeps in the same bed with her and she has no allergy’s. i will find out which specific breed and contact you about it as soon as tomorrow. sorry i couldn’t be more helpful tonight. if you’re interested send me an e-mail at cooperamber863@yahoo.com. i hope i can help you out. everyone deserves a good pet. sincerely amber
