What Solutions Are There To Having A Pet And Having Allergies To Them?

There are many.
For starters, get a HEPA filter for the home. This will reduce the general airborne allergies.
Take OTC claritin. It is an over the cvounter meidcation so no prescription is required. This medication often relives most allergy syptoms. If you still have problems, see your doctor and better yert an allergist and they can get you a nasal spray. This directly protects your nose and really helps knock out allergies.
Dependance on allergy medicine means that once you stop your allergies come back. You could also get allergey shots. This takes time and eventually you can become desensitized to the allergy. But it can be costly and requires weekly shots for a long time.
Having a good vacuum helps. Vacuum daily to remove pet dander and hair. Do not let your pets in the bedroom or on the beds. That way the allergens are not with you at night.
Good luck. Many people overcome allergies to be with pets.

I take shots and a script because I’m allergic to a lot of things including my pets, (cat & guinea pigs). A vet will have shampoos for cats and dogs to cut down the allergins and shedding. I hold my pets every day with no problem. Get tested for your allergys, check out the shampoos, enjoy. I do…aka. piggy_dude.

Go to an allergist. They can prescribe you pills, eye drops, nose spray, etc or you can get allergy shots. My mom is allergic to cats but she has two. She gets a prescription for Zrytec and it works for her no problem.
