Do I Keep Getting A Cold Or Do I Have Allergies?

I keep getting sick with what I think is a cold but, my mom thinks that it may be allergies. My nose is runny, my eyes are a bit watery, I can’t stop sneezing and I am congested. Is it a cold or allergies?

  1. PooPooLa says:

If the discharge from your nose is clear, it’s probably allergies. If it’s green or yellow, that indicates infection and could be a cold or sinus infection.

  2. Athene says:

If it keeps coming back then it could be allergies to any number of airborne allergens. You need a prick test by an immunologist, where they put a tiny bit of all kinds of things on your skin to see what makes you react. It doesn’t hurt. Once you know what you are allergic to, you can avoid it and take antihistamine if necessary.
It’s important to find out if you are allergic to anything because the allergy can get worse if you are constantly exposed to the offending substance. Get your doctor to refer yuo to an allergy specialist.
