Does The Development Of Allergies Have Anything To Do With Immune System Failure?

Is it normal to develop mild allergies as a teenager? (about 17) or is it a sign of a failing immune system. (I hope not. I would really like to get to the bottom of this.)
Thanks in advance.

Someone can develop allergies at any point in there life and in most cases, it is not the sign of something serious. If you felt like you were having bigger problem than just regular allergies, you should see an allergist.

Actually allergic reactions are signs of an overactive immune system
