How Can I Remedy Eye Discharge From Allergies?

I’ve always had bad allergies, year round. But never had the symptoms of a fairly constant white discharge until about 3 years ago. I went to the eye dr and she told me it was allergies, and that there was nothing to be done but to take medication for it. well, i do, but it doesn’t always help. Either the white gunk builds up on my corners or it gets under my eye lids and bothers me until i get it out, because it tends to be quite a lot. Has anyone else dealt with this, and what have you used to help relieve the issue?
I had this for 20 years. The doctor gave me various eye drops and creams that didn’t help. I found the best eye drops were Otrivine Antistin, which I could buy over the counter. I also got relief from it every time I went swimming and got the chlorinated water in my eyes; also if I got a splash of toothpaste or a squirt of juice from an orange in my eye, that relieved it too (after the initial stinging). I’d always had it in one eye at a time, but then I got it in both eyes at once, and nothing seemed to help. After a few days of this torture, it suddenly cleared up, and I’ve never had it since. That was 10 years ago.
Good luck with yours.
Put moist tea bags on your eyes for ten minutes whenever these reactions occur. Make sure the tea is black tea.
