How Can You Decrease Allergies From Cats?

We just got this long haired cat a month ago. And now my dad is starting to be allergic to cats even though we’ve had cats all our life. He hates cat’s so I need something to decrease his allergies of her by alot so he doesnt suggest getting rid of her. (which I will not do).
Allergy shots are normally well tolerated and successful for cat allergies. They are time consuming, can be very expensive, and can be painful. You might also need to keep the cat out of his room, off of his favorite furniture, dust and vacuum often, wash the cat weekly, and change the litter daily.
