How Do I Cure My Cold/sneezing/allergy?

I don’t know if I have cold or allergy. I’ve been having this “cold” since Oct 2006 but I have never really recovered from it. I would get better for a few weeks and then the “cold” comes back to me again.
For these few weeks, I’ve been sneezing a lot. I feel cold but the sneezing feels like I’m having allergy. I feel cold and sneezed alot especially when I wake up (either morning or after a nap). But I still sneeze throughout the day and my nose feels itchy. Sometimes I get runny nose. I’ve tried nyquil/dayquil/sudefed/chinese tea etc.
I don’t know if its the weather that is killing me because here in Los Angeles, it turned so cold during the start of the year and recently, its warm one day and cold another.
So please help me. I’m dying.
This is so me…I have basically “had a cold” my whole life.
It’s chronic sinusitis, and there’s lots of remedies, but I have yet to find a miracle cure. Sinus washes, decongestants, warm compresses, atomizers, etc. may help, but it never cures me.
Hopefully you’ve gone to the dr. to make sure it’s not turned into a sinus infection.
Sounds like allergies. Go see an allergist and find out. There are great prescription meds for relief from this.
First, GET A NETI POT!!! This is a little pot in which you put a cup of warm water with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and a pinch of baking soda. Then, you lean over the sink. Tilt your head to the right and put the elongated part of the part in your left nostril and pour half the water in it. The water will pour out of the right nostril. Then, tilt your head to the left and pour the rest of water in your right nostril, letting the water come out of the left nostril.
If you have allergies, a problem with sinus infections or even feel a cold coming on, use this pot. If you use it every day, you will prevent sinus infections. You can get it on line or in a natural food store.
If I didn’t know better, I would think this little pot was a gift from God.
Next, try to get to the root of the problem. Something in your apartment is bothering you. What changed in your life in October 2006? Think back. did you change your shampoo, get a pet, change your detergent, get carpeting?
You probably have nasal allergies. You can take an over the counter allergy pill or see your doctor and he will prescribe one for you. I find a prescription one (Zyrtec) the best. It doesn’t leave me feeling sleepy and only has to be taken once a day.
