I know you can develop allergies and I am coughing and sneezing, so how do I know if I have developed them, or I just have a cold? I am going to Europe on Tuesday and dont want to feel this way on a plane!
Oh no! That sucks. Take some Claritin or something made specfically for allergy relief and see if that works. If it doesn’t, take something for cold relief. If the cold meds works, that’s your culprit. Either way, MAKE SURE YOU TAKE SOMETHING FOR YOUR SINUSES prior to boarding the plane. I’ve flown with a cold and thought I was going to die. The pressure from being so high in the air wreaks havoc on sinuses that are clogged up.
Hope you have a blast!!!
If you feel generally “yuck” all over, it’s likely a cold. One thing you can do is work out. If you feel better afterward, suspect allergies. (The hormones released during exercise help “open you up”.)
If your sneezing starts early morning and stops after one or two hours its allergy, otherwise it can be a cold or flue..
Either way, if you get on that plane with a sinus problem, once you get up to the leveling altitude your head will feel like it’s going to explode and you will be in the worst pain of your life. Go to the doctor for some strong decongestant before you go.
Physical symptoms are sneezing and/or itching. Contact a Medical Practitioner and get into a course of antibiotics.
Go to an allergy doctor and get tested.
With a cold i think you tend to feel generally low & weak in yourself, wereas allergies you just get the ‘effects’ of a cold i.e sneezing, puffy eyes, itchy nose etc… but you don’t feel rough in yourself (though allergies can really drive you nuts) ask the doctor if you’re unsure and he/she will advise you best
eye soreness, itching eyes or skin, upset stomak, sneezing and skin(not insde the body) temperature are sign of allergies.
I believe the color of your mucus is a good determining factor. Clear mucus normally means a cold. Yellowish mucus means a new infection, and greenish mucus means an older infection which you’re probably getting over.
