I’m Allergic To Cats. Is There Anything Youcan Do To Completlyget Rid Of Allergies?

My boyfriend wants me to adopt his cat because he can’t take care of it anymore. I told him probably not because i’m allergic, but I really want to. Lol! Is there any way to get rid of cat allergies?
You could see a specialist and see if they can give you a high dose of what you are allergic to. Apparently it helps.

you could buy a new allergy free cat, genetically modified.
You could start a series of shots to build up your immune system. You get them weekly and it takes years. My allergist won’t do it because I have a cat and my system is already over-exposed to the allergens.
There are medications to relieve the symptoms. If your allergies aren’t bad, try Allegra or Claritin. They last for 24 hours and don’t cause drowsiness. If these don’t work, you’ll need to see an allergist for prescription medications.
You’ll need to vacuum frequently and keep the cat out of the bedroom.

They’re not expensive so it might try you to get one and see if it helps.
I have a portable one in the litter box room and it helps with smell reduction.
No, some people grow out of their allergies or just take shots for them. I don’t think you can get rid of your allergies on cats though. Sorry =/
