    Dander is a product of dried saliva flaking (invisibly) on the fur. Any fur that is more inclined to hold something in it versus the ease of releasing it into the air to breathe, will be lower in allergens than others.
    In my mind a Pug would be fairly bad.
    Worst = Short hair smooth coat
    Best = Tight curly hair
    with longer haired dogs in the middle

    All dogs possess the ability to cause an allergy in humans. There is no such thing as a hypo-allergenic dog. Dogs that are labeled as hypo-allergenic still contain the same dander that causes the reaction, they just contain less of it because of the constant grooming requirements; poodles, bichons, etc.

    No, all dogs can catch an allergy all the same way.
