I am on 20 mg of prozac daily and is it ok if i take a benadryl allergy pill? Does it even matter?

MONITOR: Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients.
MANAGEMENT: During concomitant use of these drugs, patients should be monitored for potentially excessive or prolonged CNS and respiratory depression. Ambulatory patients should be counseled to avoid hazardous activities requiring complete mental alertness and motor coordination until they know how these agents affect them, and to notify their physician if they experience excessive or prolonged CNS effects that interfere with their normal activities.

Yes. It is ok. Antihistamines like Benadryl are no problem. Might I suggest Zyrtec, or even Claritin as they are less sedating and last all day.
Benadryl will likely make you tired and lasts only 8-10 hours.
It will knock you out, i was on the same and i fell asleep for 15 hrs straight, not even a bomb blast would of stirred my sleep!
Just be careful and rather ask your dr about mixing the two.
