Is There Allergy Medicine That Is Safe To Take While Breastfeeding?

My baby is almost a month old and my seasonal allergies just started acting up. I also wanted to know if it was possible for my baby to already have seasonal allergies. He has the same symptoms I do, stuffy/runny nose and sneezing quite a bit. My Dr appt is next week, I was just asking because I hate to be miserable for a week and my milk supply hurt because of it.

Antihistamines will dry up your milk. The best thing you can take while nursing is a steroidal nasal spray. Beconase AQ or Nasonex is good. I took it while nursing and it did not affect my baby at all. Being a nasal spray, it does not go through your whole body like a pill.
