What Are The Differences Between Allergies And Sinuses?

I broke my nose years ago at my sinuses where I should have had surgery. I am not allergic to anything as far as I know, so I don’t believe I have “allergies.” But I am curious as to what the difference is because it seems my “sinuses” act up the same time people’s “allergies” do. Please only answer this if you have a clue, I will research on my own, I just was curious to see if there was anyone who may have an intelligent answer.

Years ago I suffered immensely from allergies. The reason was I had a deviated septum. Your nostrils alternate throughout the night taking in oxygen. If you suffer even a small degree because of an allergy, this causes a swelling that closes off one nostril and the sinus cavity becomes inflamed and infected. The infection spreads and you get a sinus headache. I had my deviated septum corrected nearly 30 years ago and although today I may slightly be affected by allergies ( a slight runny nose, a few sneezes or redness of the eyes) my sinuses never get infected anymore. I don’t even take medication anymore and I use to live off of Contac. Check it out you may have a deviated septum.

Sinsus are an anantomical part of your body. Allergies aggravate that part of you body. It kinda sounds like you do have allergies since yours “act up the same time other people’s “allergies” do. That’s what happens during allergy season.
    Allegra is a God send.

you can go to web md and try to find the reason why allergies effect the sinuses.

they act up when peoples allergies do because allergies act up when there is more pollin, dander and other allergens in the air, which even though you are not technically “allergic” to anything you are breathing in things which bother your sinuses because they are more sensitive.
