What Kind Of Candy For Someone With Multiple Food Allergies – Chocolate, Nuts And Corn (syrup)?

I’m trying to put together a goodie bag for a neighbor child that has food allergies to chocolate, nuts and corn – so no corn syrup. Any ideas – hard to be psyched for Halloween when he can’t eat most of the candy out there. I know I could do other things – like playdoh or pretzels, but when you think Halloween you think candy.

He’ll love Yummy Earth hard candies or lollipops, or St. Claire Candies. Panda Licorice (the black kind) may still be corn-free as well.http://yummyearth.com/http://www.econaturalsolutions.com/ (Look for Sweet Candy & Sour Tarts)
Playdoh can be problematic, depending on how sensitive the child is to corn (most corn allergic cannot touch playdoh). Your best bet is to be the safest possible, and the first two candies mentioned are the safest out there.
A corn allergy can be hard to manage, but this list might help you.http://corn-freefoods.blogspot.com/

How about carob or yogurt covered raisins? I know you can find baggies of those at the grocery store. And you could try the bigger bags of dried Apple Chips (caramel apple, granny smith & red delicious), but I haven’t checked the label on those for corn syrup:) … Maybe you could melt butterscotch chips and dip some dried fruit into them and let them cool/harden. …..A health food store might have things that would just perfect too. … And, if it’s a girl, you can always put in some flavored lip balm:)
