Can I Still Take My Allergy Medicine While Taking Metronidazole?

It warns againts drinking alocohol while taking it (its an antibiotic) because of harsh side effects, like stomach cramping and such. Will taking my allergy medicine while taking this medication cause any adverse side effects?
